Our next four trip running day is on 30th June and will see Class 47 D1566 make a welcome return to our roster – the first time the loco has worked one of these diagrams for 3 years. In addition, Class 31 5580 is now re-confirmed for the 7th July running day.
A big thank you to everyone who supported 6940’s running day on Sunday 17th June. All went well and there was even some sunshine. A special mention is worthy of Pete Coole and Paul Williams, who had spent much of the previous weekend wedged underneath the old girl covered in filth, greasing and adjusting the brake rigging – just one of the nasty but essential jobs needed to keep our locos running.
