UPDATE 29TH MAY: 6940 WILL WORK SUNDAY 5TH JUNE FOUR TRIP RUNNING DIAGRAM
A busy and most positive week has passed for the LDG with both D6940 being successfully run after decontamination of the oil system and D5310 putting in some awesome performances over the 3 days of the Severn Valley Railway 1960’s Gala.
A big thanks to all who came to the Valley for a ride behind the Type 2 – we all had a great time and were most impressed with how D5310 coped with the 7 coach LMS rake, which she hauled all weekend.
The photo below shows D5310 at Bridgnorth on Friday 20th May with the LMS rake to provide a distinctly Scottish feel to the event.
And on the previous evening, this was the happy site and faces at Deeside – 6940 stood at the halt having worked there under her own power. (photo by Rhys Evans)
